A leading memory module producer Corsair Memory on Thursday officially announced availability of its new high-density 4GB DDR3 memory kit that runs at extremely high clock-speed. These modules are the perfect solution for gamers, however, very few of them can afford memory sticks that cost the price of a simplistic personal computer.

The new Corsair Dominator 4GB DDR3 memory kit – which sports two 2GB modules – runs at 2.0GHz with unknown latencies and voltage settings and will only be available in Q3 2008, however, already now the announcement of Corsair is meant to prove the company’s excellence in engineering and capability to offer truly extreme products.

“Corsair is focused on building the industry’s fastest memory available in the largest densities. This new ultra-fast DDR3 4GB Dominator solution demonstrates Corsair’s commitment to lead the memory technology transition from DDR2 to DDR3 and from 2GB solutions to 4GB solutions.  Enthusiasts worldwide demand it and we are happy to support their requirements,” said Richard Hashim, director of marketing at Corsair.

The new 4GB Dominator DDR3 2000MHz memory kit will be available in Q3 through Corsair’s authorized distributors, resellers and e-tailers worldwide, priced at $675, a rather unprecedented cost for a set of memory modules.

Corsair Dominator memory modules utilize the company’s proprietary dual-path heat eXchange (DHX) radiators that cool down memory chips from the back and from the front, like any conventional heat-spreaders, as well as take the heat away from print-circuit board (PCB), which incorporates some additional elements to remove heat from BGA memory chips. In addition to that, Corsair offers to install Dominator airflow fan that provides extra cooling through airflows.
