With the SB86i, we have a very good looking XPC from Shuttle that performs as well as other 915/925X systems. There are a couple of things we would’ve liked to see different on the SB86i such as the placement of the main power connector on the inclusion of a six pin VGA power connector used for newer PCI-Express board. We were also unable to complete memory tests on the XPC, however, that is something that will probably be solved by a BIOS update.

The move to BTX is a good one as the SB86i proved to be an extremely quiet XPC with temperatures similar to bigger systems. Overall, we like the SB86i.
