As soon as the printer arrived on the doorstep there was no doubt that is was not a home printer. The struggling DHL driver put the eighty pound package on my door with a bewildered look on his face, but despite its size and weight the printer arrived in perfect condition. The CLP-510n was very professionally packaged- its opening doors were taped shut and the printer was protected by a plastic bag and cushioning styrofoam blocks.

The printer measures 25.1"(W) x 20.6"(H) x 22.5"(D) so chances are you are going to need a special place set aside for it. The footprint is pretty massive but this is too be expected from a printer that fulfills  such requirements.

Looking at the first set of specifications we can see that this printer means business. Printing text it pumps out up to 25 ppm which means it will be very capable during this large print jobs- theoretically up to 1500 pages an hour.  With 64 MB of memory you will have no problem with large images and PDFs which can give lesser printers some trouble. Even the First Page Out times, which are not the printer's strongest characteristics, are in keeping with most other printers in this class. The 1200 dpi rating means your text will be sharp and clean and your images will embarass most inkjet's.
