Temperature Testing
Here was where the GeCube was favored to stand out from the competition. After all, the FZ cooler did come with two cooling fans, quad heat pipes and the fancy thermal electric cooling. However, the results of our temperature tests were mixed. Without any active or passive cooling near the power regulatory components, these turned out to be warmer than the other Radeon X1950 PROs. The core did seem to benefit from the FZ cooler and its temperature was lower than the others. Unfortunately, the improvement was only by a couple of degrees and considering the extra power draw and noise of the cooler, it's hard to say if that's worth the trouble.
