Gunning for 100-150$ segment

While XGI may not be competing with the likes of NVIDIA or ATI at the high end it looks like they will be taking a shot at the entry level / mainstream segment of cards that people tend to look at to upgrade their onboard graphics.?PCIe figures to be a big part of the financial forecast for this year, accounting for approximately 70% of their revenue

The company's higher end XG47 chip is positioned to compete with the GeForce 6200 series from Nvidia and the Radeon X300 series from ATI Technologies, Cheng stated. The XG47, unveiled at CeBIT 2005, is slated for volume shipments by the end of the second quarter, Cheng added.

The XG45 will be targeted at the mainstream segment, and will compete against Nvidia's GeForce 6600 and ATI's Radeon X600 graphics chips, said Cheng.
