Shuttle's new XPC SB83G5M barebone PC is aimed at system integrators and DIY enthusiasts looking to build customized solutions for Microsoft Media Center 2005
(Taipei, Taiwan ?May 9, 2005) Shuttle Inc, the leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor (SFF) computers and accessories, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the XPC SB83G5M, the first XPC designed exclusively for integration with Windows XP Media Center.

?The XPC SB83G5M retains the same stylish design, excellent ergonomics, and unparalleled technical performance than has become synonymous with the XPC brand,?said vice president Jonathan Yi. ?System integrators can be confi dent when choosing to build media center solutions upon the SB83G5M that they have the best foundation of reliability and end-user satisfaction available.?br />
Built around the Intel?915G and ICH6-R chipset with onboard VGA and 6 channel audio, all components of this barebone PC have been optimized to suit a media center environment. The small and stylish G5 chassis features a mirrored front panel and stealthed drive bays for excellent integration in a living-room environment, while the Silent X cooling solution ensures system noise remains unobtrusive when enjoying multimedia.

Further, the XPC SB83G5M features Shuttle's new Versatile Front-panel Display (VFD). Designed to integrate seamlessly with Shuttle's XPC Tools, and Microsoft's?Windows?XP Media Center, it emulates the operation of standard consumer electronics devices to provide useful system and media information without the reliance of an On-Screen-Display.

With the addition of a few simple components - CPU, RAM, hard disk and optical drives, and a TV tuner card - sytem integrators can build a cost effective system capable of using Windows?XP Media Center 2005. What's more, with support for advanced technologies such as SATA RAID and PCI-E graphics, it is possible to create a range of confi gurations to suit different end-user needs or value points.

The XPC SB83G5M is available immediately. Contact your Shuttle representative and order today.
