Elpida samples 80nm DDR2 memory

Elpida announced it is now sampling its new 80nm 2Gbit DDR2 memory chips. The memory chips will be available at 533/667 and 800MHz data rates, and are manufactured at its 12" fab at Hiroshima, Japan. They are rated to run at 1.8V and are packaged in 68 connector FBGA packages.
