Introduction

Just before Computex Taipei 2007 went into high gear last week, we previewed one of Foxconn's more interesting budget boards based on Intel's P35 chipset, the aptly named P35A. On the outset, Foxconn's P35A isn't really all the different from your run of the mill entry-level boards out there. It uses one of the latest core logic chipsets available for the Intel LGA775 platform, but is scaled down in terms of features for the mainstream market. However, the P35A features dual PCIe x16 slots that support ATI CrossFire multi GPU configurations, which is what makes this particular board stand out. It also shows that full solid capacitor designs have finally caught up to low end motherboard models as well. Since we've pretty much covered every aspect of the Foxconn P35A in our preview (which you should take a look right here before continuing), we'll go straight to benchmarking the board this time around.
