Introduction and Specs
Gigabyte is no stranger to us here at Legit Reviews. We always enjoy getting our hands on one of their boards to see what they are up to, and to see if they got rid of the annoying control-f1 key stroke to get into the "secret" part of the BIOS (by the way, a spoiler - they did not). Just kidding about that, though it is annoying! What does seem strange to us here at Legit Reviews is to have a review with a Gigabyte board and an AMD processor. In fact, it seems strange to use any board and our AMD processor. Not because we think AMD is strange, or because we are Intel fanboys, but AMD just seems to have taken a back seat to the monster that Intel is with their Core 2 Duo processors. So, we dug in our closet, and underneath the stack of old computer hardware, we found our AMD 5000+ CPU. We got it out, dusted it off, and slapped it in the Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard to take her for a spin. (As a note for all of you that may be concerned, no CPU was hurt in the testing of this motherboard, the AMD 5000+ survived without injury!) Before we take a closer look at this board, let's check out the specs.
Now let's take a closer look at the board...
