Nintendo Wii’s motion-sensing Wiimote and Nunchuck game controllers immediately attracted attention of casual gamers to the video game system as nothing like this was ever available. Now, Asustek Computer wants to enable the same kind of gaming experience with its Asus Eee Stick GMC-1 set of controllers.

The Asus Eee Stick GMC-1 set consists of two controllers for right and left hands, USB dongle, quick start guide as well as support CD with drivers, manual and other useful tools, according to a filing of Asustek with FCC. The Eee Stick can be used with various software, however, it would definitely be very comfortable to play arcade games using the controllers, provided that those controllers can be calibrated to a particular title.

It remains to be seen how much Asus Eee Stick GMC-1 will cost and whether Asustek plans to sell them as separate game controllers, or exclusive game controllers sold with Eee PC desktops or laptops. In case the manufacturer decides to bundle the Eee Stick with graphics cards or sell separately, the controllers have a lot of chances to become quite popular, however, if the Eee Stick only becomes available bundled with Eee PCs, they have much fewer chances to reach gamers.
