The Cooler Master Cavalier 2 desktop case arrived securely packaged between Styrofoam inserts in a colorfully printed cardboard box.
Packed inside the case is a small box of accessories, which includes an AC power cord, VU meter interface box PCI bracket, two VU meter audio cables, a power supply Installation Guide, and a bag of assorted mounting hardware.
The build quality appears to be excellent just what we have come to expect from Cooler Master and the brushed aluminum, two-tone front panel is very attractive. The Cavalier 2 enclosure feels sturdy and is relatively heavy (9.3 kg/20 lbs) due to the hybrid steel and aluminum construction.
Surprisingly, the only included documentation pertained to the power supply. The Cooler Master website lists an “Installation Guide which covers the basics of installing hardware (drives and motherboard) and includes detailed pin outs of the various I/O cables. However there is no mention of connecting the VU meter or what to do with the included PCI bracket audio connector or patch cables until you drill down further in the FAQ section.
