This Vanessa comes with a blue 92mm cooling fan. This 92mm fan is a very quiet fan because it produces a maximum of 29dBA when running at 2400RPM (46.14CFM of equivalent airflow). The fan blades are also silver chromed to help reduce dust collection, EMI and increase heat dissipation. The fan may be good looking but a LED fan would have been preferred since case modding has become very popular nowadays. There is no need to use the screwdriver too since the fan is of a “screwless?design. Vanessa’s fan comes with a clip (instead of screws), pretty similar to Thermalright’s offering. This innovative design has made installation a breeze, making life a lot more simple and convenient for users. Some modding is needed if the user plans to install a 120mm/80mm/dual fans for Vanessa.

A very nice looking aluminum fan speed controller comes included with the Vanessa and it is one of the better-looking fan speed controllers out there. In fact, it is one of the best I have seen in a long time! Speed of the 92mm cooling fan can be varied via the controller from 1200RPM to 2400RP.The fan speed controller unit can be unscrewed and fitted into a PCI slot - good for those who have run out of 3.5?bays.

Most high end CPU coolers are not universal (suitable for 1 or 2 sockets only) but the Vanessa is unique because it can be used for the AMD K8, K7, Intel socket 478 and even Intel’s latest socket LGA775! Hence, 4 different mounting accessories, mounting brackets (for both Intel and AMD) and mounting clips are included with the package. Installation for both P4 sockets involves a bit of work because the motherboard has to be removed from the casing since a mounting bracket is used but installation for both AMD sockets are much easier since only the mounting clips are used.
