[Abstract]
ThoughtsAdvertismentBar the occasional blip, the 915-A using a 3.8GHz Prescott and DDR2 memory at 533MHz wasn't too far behind the P5AD2-E Premium using the same configuration, in terms of basi...
You'd expect a non-enthusiast mainboard based around 915GV to be beaten soundly by a well-sorted, 925XE-based board like the ASUS P5AD2-E, and that's exactly what's going to be shown over the next few pages of benchmarks. The memory bandwidth scores shown above are the first signs of that. It's not that 915GV is particularly slow, especially when the GMA900 core is turned off, it's just that it's not had performance tuning that something like ASUS's P5AD2-E will have had.

I won't dwell on why the ECS is slightly slower, having explained it above. My apologies for being terse with the performance analysis.
