The P5WD2 certainly performs very well as evident from benchmarks on the previous pages. ASUS also loads the board up nicely with features like the WiFi TV Tuner card, Dual Gigabit controllers and an additional SATA controller with a port on the back panel. You also have the option of hooking up two PCI-E Video cards and enjoying quad view. Also, lets not forget the features supported by the chipset such as Matrix RAID 0,1,5 and 10 , High Definition Audio and dual core support.

All BIOS options are present for tweaking your system to the max while specific ASUS features like Cool Stack and AI NOS will allow you to get the best performance and overclocking from this board. About the only thing that didn’t work at the moment was the CPU multiplier, however, we’re sure that this will be fixed with a BIOS update. Stability was also not an issue on this board and we’ll say it again that an Intel chipset and an ASUS board is one of the best combinations for a stable platform.

If you’re planning on upgrading to the P4 platform, you currently have an option between the nForce4 and the 955X chipset at the moment both of which support DDR2-666 and Dual Core CPUs. And while we’re very impressed with the P5WD2, we want to wait for ASUS?nForce4 solution for the P4 to decide which one is worth your money.
