Results - 3DMark05 & 3DMark06
3DMark05's workload unsurprisingly favored ATI cards and that enabled the MSI Radeon X1650 XT to outpace the GeForce 7600 GT by a massive 16% to 23%. There was also quite a significant improvement over the Radeon X1650 PRO, even a slightly overclocked one like the GeCube. In 3DMark06, the GeForce 7600 GT was however much more competitive and managed to seize a slim lead over the MSI. It was also interesting to note that the older Radeon X1800 GTO actually performed similarly to the newcomer in these benchmarks. Finally, higher end cards like the Radeon X1900 GT and for that matter, the GeForce 7900 GS look out of reach of the Radeon X1650 XT.
