All tests were run using a clean install of Windows XP Professional with SP2. Both boards used the latest release bios. For our stock speed tests, we ran everything at default timings for the CPU. Our stock speed testing used Corsair DDR2 C6400C4 2 GB kit at High vdimm (using ultra high did not prove to be any help) setting at DDR2 800. Timings for the ASRock board had to be run at 5-4-4-12, as the board did not like CAS4 settings at all, and refused to run a couple of our tests. Timings of 4-4-4-12 were used for the ECS board that we ran against the ASROck. Timings for our overclocking were left 5-4-4-12 and high vdimm, but the ram divider was set to the lowest possible to take any ram issues out of the CPU overclocking. The video card was left at default timings as well for all tests. For this review, stability was determined by running our battery of tests, plus the ability to complete a SuperPi 32mb test run.
