Exterior Design Part 2

Other changes from the original 3D Aurora include the relocation of the USB2.0, FireWire and audio jacks from the side of the casing to the front. While placing these ports at the side preserved the looks of the casing, having them at the front is probably more convenient and conventional to most users. Like we said earlier, the lower front bezel has been revamped for better air flow and there is a 120mm blue LED fan located behind the wire meshed air intake. Similarly, the back of the casing has two relatively quiet 120mm fans that light up in the usual blue when running.

Gigabyte has shifted the ports to the front but it's the standard ports like USB2.0, FireWire and audio jacks.

The rear plate of the 3D Aurora 570 is made from thin steel to strengthen the mostly aluminum chassis and it has been completely nickel plated to avoid corrosion. Another highlight of the Aurora casing are the rubber grommets meant for liquid cooling units. These grommets allow pipes from water-cooling units to exit the casing to an external radiator, which can then be mounted in front of one of the 120mm fans. Although Gigabyte naturally recommends its own 3D Galaxy range of liquid cooling units, it should work with comparable coolers from other brands provided the pipes are of the same diameter.

Adjustable foot stands ensure that this full tower will stand tall but not fall.

The rear of the 3D Aurora 570 is reflective due to its nickel coating to protect the steel from corrosion. The thin but strong steel plate is used to strengthen this aluminum casing.

One of the features of this watercooling friendly casing is the presence of two round grommets which allow the pipes of your liquid cooling unit to exit to the (usually) external radiator. Gigabyte of course recommends its 3D Galaxy cooler but as long as the hole fits, you can use other coolers.
