Conclusion
There is not a lot that needs to be said about the LC05 Mini-ITX enclosure. The things that you cannot tell from the pictures and probably came here to learn are that it is built well and does a good job of holding a Mini-ITX system. From reading the manufacturer's web site it is easy enough to figure out that the case looks great and it offers a few twists on the cases we are used to seeing with this form factor, including a 5.25" bay, a stackable layout, and a minimal overall height.
Despite the great looks, some people are definitely going to take issue with it or at least choose another case over it. The LC05 is not as small as it could be, it's expensive (about $140), has no cooling aside from vents, has no expansion slots, and has not sound dampening. None of these faults are particularly problematic but the discerning buyer may either look upon them all and decide the LC05 is not for them or may have a specific need, such as an expansion slot or built-in CPU cooling.
So while the LC05 was the right case for this build and my space demands, there are a lot of options out there that may better suit another project. Among SilverStone product's the LC12 and LC19 might be better options for some people, but there are a lot of other companies that make fine products. If the LC05 is the right case for you and it has the features you are searching for, it would be a great pick so long as you can afford it and don't mind upgrading the underwhelming power supply unit.
