Once removed the retail packaging its revealed that the UCP 1100 is a large Power Supply Unit. I love the finish on the UCP 1100 and the white ‘Ultimate?lettering that is found on both sides of the unit.
There is a single 120mm fan on the bottom of the UCP 1100. The back features a honeycomb pattern to allow airflow through the PSU.
The finish on the UCP 1100 is scratch resistant; again we see the ‘Ultimate?logo lettering here.
Here is the 120mm fan found in the UCP 1100.
Here is a look at the specification information found on the Power Supply Unit.
There are the 3 x 8-pin PCI-Express connections and 6 x 6-pin PCI-Express connections on the UCP 1100. 3-way SLI or Crossfire won’t be a problem here.
The UCP 1100 has 9 SATA connections on available.
The UCP has 2x 4 + 4 pin CPU connectors.
There are 5 standard molex connections on the UCP 1100. I was a bit disappointed there were only five connections as I still have fans that I prefer to hook up directly to the PSU. Granted most people’s drives will be powered using the SATA power connections. I did feel a bit cheated with only 5 molex connections on the UCP 1100.
The motherboard connector is native 24-pin connection.
The one bad thing about the Cooler Master UCP 1100 was the bundle of cables. This PSU is not modular, there are a lot of cable to hide if you are one particular to the asthetics of their Case.
