Markham, Ontario/ Munich, Germany -December 9, 2004 - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) continues its significant growth in the workstation market with the introduction of the FireGL(tm) V3100 as an option in IBM's PCI Express based workstation, the Intellistation M30. Superior application performance, teamed with a native PCI Express solution, make the FireGL V3100 the ideal solution for professional customers who demand significant functionality and stable performance from their graphics card day-to-day.

The FireGL V3100 features 128 MB of memory, 4 pixel pipelines and 2 vertex processors, with dual display support via VGA and DVI outputs. Certified for the most demanding of high-end professional applications, such as 3ds max, AutoCAD, CATIA, Maya, SOFTIMAGE|XSI and SolidWorks, the FireGL V3100 excels at delivering the experience customers expect from a professional graphics card.

"The transition to PCI Express provided an opportunity for ATI to re-define the role FireGL products have to play in the workstation market," said Dave Rolston, Vice President and General Manager, Workstation and Embedded Products, ATI. "The selection of the FireGL V3100 by IBM demonstrates the renewed strength of the FireGL products and the stability, quality and reliability that they bring to customers."

ATI's FireGL products are supported by a unified driver, which is tested and certified by professional 3D ISV partners, simplifying system administration and upgrades. All FireGL products come with a three year warranty and direct access to a dedicated workstation technical support team.
