Introduciton
BenQ's aggressive LCD marketing has seen them out with the first ever LCD monitor to bear an 8ms rating for pixel response time. Since the gaming industry is basically the one pushing for ever faster speeds and performance, BenQ aimed their sights at the gamers first by debuting 8ms LCDs with the FP71E+, which we reviewed here. With that to boast, they have continued to update their product line further. Getting down to the mainstream side of things is the FP71G, a 12ms LCD monitor that was next in line to receive the same love. Thus, the 8ms FP71G+ was conceived. This monitor is targeted at the mainstream user base with basic features and only supports analog (D-SUB) input. Technically speaking, the FP71G+ shares the same specifications as its gaming counterpart. However, we hoped that with the extra time between launch, BenQ has been able to fix some of the problems we encountered with the FP71E+. Before we continue, let's have a glance at the package contents and the panel's specifications.
