Innovative First Person Shooter in Development at Human Head StudiosBelieve it or not 3D Realms still has signs of life. The company announced that they will be doing a multi-development team project for their title Prey. Some may recall hearing about Prey quite a while back. Luckily it wasn't released at the time as the game is set to use the Doom 3 engine now and should offer gamers quite a bit of excitement.
The title is currently slated for Xbox, PC and "a next-generation console" which has yet to be named. One pretty obvious hint leads one to pin it on the successor to the Xbox as the title will be showcased at E3 this year in the ATI theater. The other interesting part is how the engine might be tweaked if indeed it will become a Get in the Game title seeing as the D3 currently leans heavily towards NVIDIA.
We'll have to wait until more details arrive though as the title is currently slated for a release sometime in 2006.
