Motherboard makers estimate shipments of motherboards based on ATI's RD400 and RD480 chipsets will be boosted thanks to CrossfireIn a relatively small post, DigiTimes is reporting that ATI's "Crossfire" technology will might boost ATI chipset shipments. Chipsets with Crossfire so far include RD400 (Athlon 64 Socket 939 part), and RD480 (Pentium 4 LGA775 part). Comparable to NVIDIA's Scalable Link Interface (SLI), Crossfire will allow consumers who buy ATI's next-generation part to use it alongside their current (older) ATI PCI-Express video card.
