Geforce 7800 GT specification out - 400MHz Core / 1GHz memory / 20 pipesWell, it looks like nVidia is really trying to push ATI on both the low end and the high end.First, we have tne new 6600LE's for around $70; and now we will have the 7800GT's for around $400 ($449 suggested list). ATI better get the R520's out soon. The 7800GT will be running at a fairly speedy 400MHz GPU core, and will run the DDR3 memory at an effective 1GHz data rate with 20 pipes - the 7800GTX runs at 430MHz core and 1.2GHz memory with 24 pipes - so I'd expect the 7800GT to provide about 85% of the performance of a 7800GTX for most games. Mind you, once people start tweaking it the performance will likely improve further :)
