Shuttle Computer, the most known maker of cube-like personal computer barebones, has introduced the company's first small form-factor (SFF) system that is designed for Intel's mobile processors Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M. The new barebone features external power supply and is utterly silent.

When designing the new Shuttle XPC SD11G, the manufacturer said that its designers followed a well-known KISS (Keep it Simple, Silent) rule, creating a computer barebone which is silent right out of the box. End-users will not have to make any modifications to the computer, furthermore, the company said that the price for the SD11GS will be ?mainstream?

?Whether it's an office workstation, a home server or a home theater system, a silent PC solution offers numerous tangible benefits over a standard PC,?explained Shuttle global marketing representative, Johnny Tsai.

Shuttle XPC SD11G

Shuttle's XPC SD11G will be based on a chipset with integrated graphics core that supports Intel's mobile processors Celeron M and Pentium M that offer both relatively high performance and low power consumption. The new SFF offers integrated 7.1 audio, Ethernet, USB 2.0, FireWire and other interconnections. The product comes with external power supply and produces less than 24dB of noise, according to the manufacturer. Further details are unknown.

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SD11G5 will soon be available worldwide, and carries a manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) of ?416 (without VAT), the company said.
