The Altec Lansing XA2021 is undoubtedly a well performing gaming audio system, especially when considering its reasonable price. We enjoyed playing our favorite games and appreciated the explosions and sound effects. In this price range, you will be hard pressed to find better offering from another manufacturer.

Music reproduction, however, was a bit off the mark in our opinion. We would have liked a stronger presentation, but it seems obvious that the system is optimized more for gaming sounds than anything else. We feel that most consumers buying this system will be willing to accept this trade off.

If you are searching for an economical sound system for your gaming and casual listening needs, the XA2021 should fit the niche nicely. It may prove to be a worthwhile investment of $49.99 in the end.
