GeCube's aiming its X800-XLA-VIVO as a multi-purpose card, sporting decent gaming performance and HDTV/VIVO compatibility.
Apart from the card itself, you receive a multi-language installation manual that does a reasonable job of delineating both hardware and software elements of the package. Counter Strike: Condition Zero is the only gaming title included. Driver CDs are inevitably out-of-date by the time the card has been shipped to you, so my advice would be to hit ATI's 'site and download the latest iteration of CATALYST drivers. The CD, however, does also contain DirectX9 and an online manual, although GeCube neglected to include a company-specific overclocking utility.
CyberLink is tasked with providing both VIVO and DVD software support, which entails PowerDirector Pro 2.55 ME and PowerDVD 5.0 (2-channel output), respectively. There's also a single, ubiquitous DVI dongle included.
2 sets of cables, both S-Video at source, give rise to decent connectivity. On the left we have component inputs for HDTV-compatible displays. The right-hand bunch offers S-Video and RCA extensions. Our sample shipped without an external power connector, for connecting the card to a PSU, but we're assured that all retail models do carry it.
There's everything you need to start you off, but GeCube's bundle falls short of the luxurious ones offered by the likes of MSI and ASUS.
