Results - 3DMark05 Pro (ver .120)
3DMark05 saw a closer competition between the XFX GeForce 6600 DDR2 and the Radeon X1300 PRO, though the XFX card probably edged this benchmark on the whole. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of the reference GeForce 6600 256MB DDR2, which came under heavy pressure from the ATI card. The good news is that we have word that a number of manufactures would likely be clocking the GeForce 6600 DDR2 at 400/800MHz, just like the XFX card.
The original GeForce 6600 was again no match for either ATI's or NVIDIA's latest, and it was the slowest of all the cards. The fastest card was again the GeForce 6600 GT but at the highest resolution and settings where memory size becomes more prominent, its 128MB memory seemed to be a serious disadvantage compared to the 256MB on the XFX GeForce 6600 DDR2.
