The blue color indicates that this is the 1GB model in the T10 series. The T10 is a high-value, ultra portable MP3 player that may not be the newest or flashiest thing available, but still has a lot to offer. It features a rugged build which would make it the right choice for any sort of activity as well as commuting or travelling.
The T10 is not that small, but it can easily fit in your palm or hang around your neck. Unlike Apple's iPod Nano, it does not have the flat profile which can slip right in one's pocket, so if you want to put it in your jeans, expect a bit of a tight fit. The slightly clunky design of the T10 is not due to Iriver's inability to design something slick, but rather because the T10 uses a AA battery. This imposes a number of limitations on the design of the player due to the size of the battery. The upside of the use of a AA battery is that you do not have to recharge the player and rather can just swap the battery with another one.
The player is controlled by three buttons on the top of the player and then by a five-way navigation on the front. These create a a simple but effect set of controls. The buttons on the front are used to navigate within the menus of the T10 as well as to adjust the volume. Around the four-way navigation is a switch which can be toggled between two positions, one of which will lock the player's controls.
