Conclusion

Ultimately, the 931BF ended up being another solid monitor from Samsung. We have seen time and time again that these guys know how to put together a nice LCD and by now they have certainly mastered the 19" model. For people looking for a very good 19" display at under $300 dollars, this is a great choice. This is especially true for office/SOHO use where cost is not as much of a concern and the temptation to upgrade to something larger/widescreen is not as great.

The 931BF has no serious problems, but before buying one users would be wise to consider other choices. By going with another manufacturer money can be saved, but even staying within the Samsung family starts questions. Such as, why pick the 931BF over something like the widescreen 920BW, the 931C, or the 940BX? All are slightly different from one another, so it is worth it to investigate a little bit before buying.
