Shipping over 50% of discrete graphic boards

In a bit of a follow up to yesterday's story about the market shares of graphic vendors, ATI has released a PR that points out that in 2004 they shipped out over 50% of all discrete graphics cards.

?With a virtual clean sweep of OEM PCI Express designs on desktop and notebook PCs, ATI continues to lead the market for discrete graphics,?said Rick Bergman, Senior Vice President, PC Business Unit, ATI Technologies.
Although it seems like ATI has been having some difficulties getting cards to the add-in board market, they are generally the first graphics card option for the Dell's of the world.
