Program to help speed up software validation for developers
From the PR box today is an ATI announcement about a new certification program to help out developers on the hardware compatibility and validation side -
Markham, Ontario-February 28th, 2005-ATI is introducing a new certification program to ease the development and implementation of the latest graphics technology for game developers. The program reduces the need for extensive hardware validation by developers, allowing them to devote their resources solely to creating compelling games for end users. In an industry where one bug can eliminate profits in customer support costs, ATI's new program of working even earlier on testing games will ultimately result in a more efficient and focused development process. Being able to test software thoroughly and quickly will be increasingly important for ATI once they enter the console market with the Xbox 2. Good to see ATI taking the intiative on this. I for one would like to see more games with 3Dc support
This quality program ensures that a "Certified by ATI" product will provide the best customer experience. More information on Certification can be found at: www.ati.com/certification.
