Valve Software has updated their hardware survey, which was conducted through Steam starting April 5th. There are some very interesting trends looking at the results:

• Intel commands the CPU arena with 52.50%, while AMD is amazingly very close behind at 47.49%
• 88.34% of people use NTFS
• Over 85% have DVD drives (stop supplying games on CDs already!)
• Only two people have >2.0 GB of RAM, with most people having 256 to 512 MB, and 512 MB to 1 GB being close behind
• The Radeon 9800 and 9600 series are the most popular video cards, though NVIDIA has a 50.90% share vs. ATI's 41.43%
