May 26, 2005 ?Today, ABIT is proud to launch its latest motherboard ?the AL8. Like its predecessor the AG8, the AL8 offers a compelling platform for those that are looking for the price/performance sweet spot. Using the latest Intel?chipset, the AL8 delivers best-in-class performance and rock solid stability, making it an ideal Pentium? platform at a great price.

Based on the Intel?945P chipset and bursting with exclusive ABIT Engineered features, the AL8 Series is a cost effective solution that offers support for the latest Intel?Pentium?4 processors, Dual DDR2 memory, 7.1 channel HD audio, and PCI Express graphics.

ABIT Engineered for Performance

Like all ABIT motherboards, the AL8 includes exclusive ABIT Engineered features. First and foremost is ABIT's Ã×Guru?Technology. Designed by the ABIT Engineers for use only on ABIT motherboards ?Ã×Guru allows end-users to reach a higher state of hardware awareness and enlightenment. äÒuru combines the ABIT Engineered features ABIT EQ? OC Guru? FlashMenu? and BlackBox?into a user-friendly interface providing users the perfect environment with which to maximize performance and stability. With ABIT AutoDrive? users can have overclocking, voltage, and fan settings change automatically per application. Have the system lower fan speeds and noise levels when you are surfing the net, but automatically raise the FSB and crank the cooling up when you launch a 3D game. Only OC Guru with ABIT AutoDrive gives this level of control.

This latest version of Ã×Guru?also offers compatibility with ABIT's next-generation Guru Clock?peripheral. Part of the Ã×Guru family, the Guru Clock allows you to access and overclock your system while playing games or using utilities or office applications while in full screen mode without having to stop the application you are running. The convenient LCD display handily displays a bevy of system information, including fan speeds, temperatures, and voltages to give you peace of mind. What's more, the new Guru Clock also features Skype?compatibility, allowing you call friends and family at the touch of a button, while in any application.

The AL8 features ABIT's CPU Accelerator technology, which allows users to adjust the multiplier of select Intel CPUs to push their system to the very limit. OTES AeroFlow?cooling on the north bridge and OC Strips on the PCB mean that the AL8 is able to quickly dissipate system-crashing heat away from critical components for excellent stability. With ABIT Engineered features, the AL8 offers a platform stands head and shoulders over competing motherboards in its class.

Robust Features for the Future

Although the AL8 is very competitively priced, it is definitely no slouch when it comes to features. In fact, the AL8 includes many of the advanced features of its higher-priced bretheren, including Dual SATA2 Controllers, PCI Express Gigabit LAN, Intel Matrix Storage Technology, and support for PCI Express graphics. 7.1 channel Intel?HD Audio with a professional S/PDIF In/Out interface is also built in for quality digital sound output. 3 PCI Express x1 slots and 2 PCI slots offer nearly limitless expansion possibilities, and USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394a ports mean that the AL8 can support the today's high-speed peripherals.
Built with Bulletproof Technology

Like all ABIT motherboards, the AL8 is built with Bulletproof Technology ?a new standard in terms of Quality, Reliability, Stability, and Engineering. Bulletproof Technology begins with selecting the highest quality components available. ABIT uses only Japanese-made capacitors on ABIT branded motherboards ?capacitors that cost several times more than regular capacitors. While others try to cut components, ABIT puts quality first. Stability is further ensured as the AL8 has passed the Torture Test, a series of looping demos and benchmarks designed to tax the board far beyond normal use. Add to all of this exclusive ABIT Engineered features such as äÒuru, and the AL8 is truly in a class by itself.
