Sources close to graphics card makers reveal name of G70-based cardAccording to The Register, sources close to a number of graphics card makers have revealed that NVIDIA's soon-to-be-unveiled G70-based card will be dubbed the "GeForce 7800 GTX". For those of you who have grown tired of the GeForce name, and suspected that NVIDIA may go with a new brand, it seems that you have to wait for another generation.
The new card will feature some pretty heavy processing power including plenty of pipelines and of course huge fill rates.
According to the leaks, you should all expect the part to be launched later this month. Here's the plan, guys: buy your wife some roses, send her off to a spa with some friends, and then run over to your nearest computer store. She won't suspect a thing -- I swear.
Update: I'm pretty sure Howard edited this post and replaced all instances of "GTX" with "GFX". ;) I believe the card is called a "GTX".
