NVIDIA's C60 integrated graphics chipset for Intel expected in Q4 or early next yearNVIDIA is supposed to launch its C51 integrated chipset for Athlon's in Q3, and it is also working on a version for P4's that is to be called the C60.
As it appears that Intel will be leaving the low end integrated graphics chipset business to third parties such as Via, SiS, ULi and NVIDIA, there is probably some internal urgency to get the C60 out the door as soon as possible.
Currently NVIDIA only offers its high end nForce 4 SLI chipset for Intel processors, however the C60 will offer it a chance to grab a decent share in the lower end Intel market. Reports suggest that the C60 will offer at least 6200TC level of performance, and may also support H.264 acceleration for video decoding.
It will be interesting to see who has the best IGP platform - Via, SiS, Intel or NVIDIA.
