Accessories
Accessories include SATA cables, ATA cables, and the external USB and Firewire connector. The software CD, floppy, and the documentation are also included.
Pricing
We found the K8TPro-939 for as low as$106. For a K8T800 Pro Socket 939 based board it looks like a good deal.
Overclocking and Stability
The Soltek certainly has above average overclocking features with plenty of voltage and MHz settings in the bios. They also include their Red Storm 2 overclocking utility.
The board also proved quite stable, and we had no crashes during our testing.
Issues and Suggestions
Soltek has done a nice job and there are few real issues. Perhaps a 2nd Ethernet port would be a good addition, and we would also like to see better availability in the US market. Overclockers would appreciate an active cooling solution for their Northbridge.
The Good Stuff
Soltek has a nice implementation of the K8T800 Pro chipset with a full featured board with good overclocking and stability. 4 SATA ports isn't too shabby, and 4 DIMMs is nice as well. The price is not bad, and the bundle and documentation is good.
Conclusion
There are not many Socket 939 boards on the market with the K8T800 Pro chipset, and of those Soltek certainly fares well. The cost is attractive, and the features are solid. Overclocking options are good, and the bundle is excellent. If your a fan of purple then you have already found your board. Even if you aren't the Soltek K8TPro-939 deserves your attention.
