Accessories:
The first thing that really impressed us was the card’s packaging. Every accessory was bundled nicely in an envelope with BFGTech’s official colors and logo on the front. After opening the accessory package, we were presented with the manual, driver CD, Far Cry full version, and two case stickers. The power cable and adapter were separately included in the package.
Everything is fairly self-explanatory, however, we would like to point that the addition of Far Cry is the only game you get with the card. BFGTech is one of the few vendors that includes full version of a popular game. While other manufacturers are reluctant in this area, we are glad to see BFGTech having an edge here. That being said, the company also includes NVDVD 2.0 that you will find embedded in the driver disc. Gigabyte and Chaintech include WinDVD package along with gaming software to sweeten the deal even more. However, BFGTech is only the manufacturer that offers lifetime warranty on their cards, as long as the card is operated at factory set clock speeds, which doesn’t exactly impress the enthusiasts. This forces us to wonder if we really should adore lifetime warranty of a graphics card that majority of the enthusiasts will replace after the industry moves to a newer core. Besides, how many times have you had a graphics card fail on you?
We would also like to point out that the package contains no video cables. We have seen cables in almost every package from every major manufacturer. This adds to customer satisfaction in the end, as users won’t have to purchase them separately. We can’t think of a reason for not including the cables and honestly, it isn’t helping BFGTech’s package value.
On the other hand, however, BFGTech does include Windowsblinds software that contains BFGTech/NVIDIA skins. They are a nice and unique touch, which we haven’t seen from other companies.
All in all, BFGTech offers a decent package in the end.
