Product Analysis:
The 6800OC contains a rather distinct heatsink and fan combo that works exceptionally. The top of the heatsink has BFGTech?s logo and the card?s model number. Unlike other manufacturers, BFGTech uses a dual-fan combo, which utilizes smaller fans. This is surely a unique design that does not add to the noise production of the card. The only time you can expect the card to get loud is during the boot-up process. After that, the fans quickly slow down. BFGTech also uses the popular blue PCB, which is also used by quite a few other companies. As far as physicality of the card is concerned, BFGTech is right neck-to-neck with its competition.
Also, to add a bit of "cool" factor to the product, both fans feature blue LED lights. As far as modders are concerned, BFGTech definitely has something flavorful.
The power connector is located towards the right side, which is required for the appropriate functionality of the card. Having a power connector is nothing new to the current generation of graphics cards from ATI and NVIDIA. This only sets a milestone for upcoming power consuming cards.
The back of the card is fairly clean with only an "X" that holds the heatsink and fan combo in place. It is also to be noted that the memory chips on the card are well protected by the heatsink and two fans that are powered by on-board two-pin connectors.
This image allows a better depiction of the copper heatsink. As you can see, the heatsink contains fins at the top for optimal thermal operations. And like the rest of the cards in the market, the 6800OC features standard VGA connector, DVI connector, and S-video connector.
