Our model, the VB1000SWS, comes with a side window though the case is also available with a solid side panel, and in the two corresponding versions in black. The window is very large and gives you a great look at the inside compartment. This usually makes for a flimsy panel but this one feels nice and is more sturdy that I would have expected. The panel does not slide backwards, instead it pulls out once the handles are pulled, so long as the oversized thumbscrews have been removed.

Here is the handle on the side of the case. It can be locked if you are looking for some extra security. Its action is smooth and decisive, which lends itself to seem more expensive than the case actually is. This is a very nice feature which is easy top operate and smoothly clicks in place. The only downside is that the door swings out so it will require a bit more room than a standard door which slides backward.

The rear of the enclosure is pretty unexciting- its I/O shield, PSU mounting, and expansion slots are all made well but do not offer any surprises. I was very happy to notice that instead of going with two 80mm fans the Soprano uses a single 120mm fnn. This method is easier to power, much quieter, and moves just about as much as as the alternative. The oversized thumb screws are a nice touch, but Thermaltake did not bother to use them on the otherside panel. To get at the case's other side you need to remove two Phillips head screws, but since the Soprano does not have a removeable motherboard tray you should not really have to ever remove this side.
