Overclocking Note: Overclocking results may vary depending on the setup. Take note that not all graphics cards overclock the same. Some might be able to clock higher but some might not. It depends on your luck. Overclock at your own risk. Always monitor the temperatures as overclocking makes your hardware to produce more heat than it normally would. This section does not get any better. Frankly, both the 6800U and X850XT is the type of graphics cards that you just can't wait to overclock. To get things done right, we used RivaTuner and ATITool again to overclock our graphics cards. Here are the maximum stable overclocks with stock cooling: The overclocking results show that both the 6800U has better memory overclocks and the X850XT has better core overclocks. Even though both cards have the same memory chips, they both showed different overclocking behaviours. Keep in mind that the reference X850XT with dual slot cooling might overclock better than our sample. Before we go onto the results, I want to point out the temperature for each card at overclocked setting. The X850XT was running pretty hot with overclocked setup at about 88 Âý core temperature with the ambient at 60 Âý. The 6800U ran slightly cooler maintaining the core temperature below 80 Âý.
