Conclusion Both GeForce 6800U and X850XT proved that they are the best graphics cards out there in the market. Personally, I was quite impressed with the 6800U because it was able to keep up and sometimes outperform the newer X850XT. The results also shows that the 6800U is still better than the X850XT during high resolution with AA/AF enabled on games like Doom 3 and Halo. The 6800U was also able to outrun the X850XT in Half-Life 2 with AA/AF enabled! This also proves that the lack of SM3.0 on X850XT was taken advantage by the supported 6800U. Games like Halo tends to perform better on 6800U at higher resolution with AA/AF enabled. On the overclocking part, the X850XT showed higher overclocks and outnumbered the 6800U with quite a margin in 3DMark benchmarks, which makes the X850XT a perfect card for benchmarking. With the newer Catalyst drivers, the Radeon X850XT should perform much better, at least we hope. Price at $499 each, it was hard to choose between the two. If you own a SFF rig, then I can boldly recommend the GeCube Uni-Wise X850XT for you. But if you?re talking about dual graphics card and SLI, then you should probably go with 6800U because the X850XT just does not support that feature. All-in-all, both X850XT and 6800U has their own specialities and it all boils down to your own choice and taste. Editor?s Choice for NVIDIA GeForce 6800U Gold Award for GeCube Uni-Wise X850XT Thanks to Lay Hoon from NVIDIA and Patrick from ScanArt for making this review possible.
