Overclocking
Overclocking is what XFX has been reputed for and obviously that's something that we had to see for ourselves. With no additional modifications besides pulling the clock speed bar up in the NVIDIA drivers panel, 600MHz was the highest that we managed for the core, which is actually 20MHz more than the premium overclocked XXX Edition offered by XFX. The memory was stable up to a maximum of 1790MHz DDR, which again was a 60MHz lead over the XXX Edition. While all these numbers may seem very large and impressive, the actual margin of improvement is not as significant, with the overclocked XFX card registering between a 2% to 7% performance boost over its default frequencies in 3DMark05.
