Increased capacity for the Buffalo LinkStation product range now means even more media and data files can be made available over your network.

UK, 28th October 2004 - Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions today announced it has expanded its line of network storage offerings with the addition of three new LinkStation products. The new LinkStation device is now available in capacities of 160GB (HD-H160LAN), 250GB (HD-H250LAN) and 300GB (HD-H300LAN) in addition to the original 120GB device (HD-H120LAN).

Buffalo's LinkStation Network Storage Centre is designed for home and small business users to store data and media files such as videos, photos and music.

?The demand for high capacity storage is on the increase for home users and small businesses alike. Consumers want to protect precious digital photos, videos and music, while small businesses need to safe-guard mission critical data?stated Gerardine Lynch, Product Marketing Manager, Buffalo Technology. ?The latest versions of the LinkStation were born out of our dedication to the small network environment. We understand our customer's diverse storage needs and developed the new LinkStation products to meet all network storage and budget requirements.?br />
In addition to the increase in capacity, new features of the LinkStation include FTP server function, which allows users to access and transfer data from any machine with Internet connectivity. The LinkStation now comes with Buffalo's own backup software so users can schedule and customise data protection. Buffalo also added an NTP Server, which allows the LinkStation to continually correct its clock for precise scheduling.

The LinkStation features Auto-Install for instant installation and can be used as a wireless device when connected to an AirStation?or other manufacturer's access point. The product is compatible with Windows and features two USB 2.0 ports for additional storage and a printer. The LinkStation includes a built-in print server and allows administrators to create user and group access to files and folders. The LinkStation provides users with the ability to run multiple streams for simultaneous media download and usage. The product's silent operation and attractive, versatile design make the LinkStation the perfect storage solution for any network environment.

The Buffalo LinkStation Network Storage Centre 160GB (HD-H160LAN), 250GB (HD-H250LAN) and 300GB (HD-H300LAN) will be available from November 2004 and are backed by a two year warranty.
