[title]BUFFALO TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCES THE DRIVESTATION LINE OF USB 2.0 EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES[/title]
The latest storage devices provide easy driverless* setup, as well as automatic and scheduled power controls to ensure you have a simple, cost effective solution for increasing storage and enhancing the performance of your PC.

UK, 28th October 2004 - Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions, today announced it has expanded its line of storage products with the DriveStation line of external HARD DRIVEs. The product is available in capacities of 80GB (HD-HB80U2), 160GB (HD-HB160U2) and 250GB (HD-HB250U2).

The DriveStation is designed for home and small business users to back up large files such as presentations, audio and digital photos that take up room on your PC's HARD DRIVE, thus allowing them to free-up space and increase performance.

?In today's digital age, users are increasingly saving large files like photos, videos and music on their computers?main drives. Those files consume a lot of space and drain resources,?stated Gerardine Lynch, Product Marketing Manager, Buffalo Technology. ?The DriveStation is an affordable, plug-n-play solution that conserves resources and enhances performance while protecting valuable files.?br />
The DriveStation is a PC compatible USB HARD DRIVE that supports USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. The product's fanless design allows for silent operation while the Heat Sink Chassis cools internal components.

The DriveStation provides three automatic features for user-friendly operation. The Auto setup feature ensures a quick, easy, driverless installation*, as the product comes pre-formatted. The Auto Power-On feature allows it to associate with the power of the attached computer and automatically powers-on or off with the computer. Plus, with the power-saving shutdown feature, users can schedule the product's power-off capabilities. The included Auto Backup feature allows users to customise back up scheduling for ultimate data protection and main drive preservation. The DriveStation can also be used as a backup drive to Buffalo's LinkStation Network Storage Centre (HD-H120LAN, HD-H160LAN, HD-H250LAN or HD-H300LAN).

All capacities of the DriveStation run at 7200 rpm. Its sleek rectangular design allows the DriveStation to fit vertically or horizontally into any desk or office space.

The Buffalo DriveStation 80GB (HD-HB80U2), 160GB (HD-HB160U2) and 250GB (HD-HB250U2) will be available from November 2004 and are backed by a two year warranty.
