Our overclocking results were kind of disappointing to say the least, using CoolBits registry application we managed a stable core overclock of 525 MHz and memory frequency of 1.0GHz. The Detect Optimal Frequencies gave us a result of 575 MHz core clock and 1.03 frequency memory clock however we saw artifacting in applications. Backing off till the artifacting stopped resulted in our 525/1.0 overclock. The overclock resulted in a net overall performance of about 5%.
Conclusion
The Albatron Trinity Geforce 6600GT AGP perfectly fits the $200 price point. It's blazing fast performance, Shader Model 3.0 support and HDTV ability make it the perfect all around contender in the mainstream position. We found the memory on the Trinity capable of running 1GHz, however our overall overclocking experience with the card was lackluster at best and the added performance wasn't really worth the effort. If you have $200 to spend on a Video Card and want the latest features and top performance then the Albatron Trinity may be just what you've been waiting for.
