ATI to release RD580 motherboard alongside the R580 video card

ATI's new chipset the RD580 is set to be released with the new R580 video card, and will include some new features over?the previous RD480 release.

The RD580, code-named 'Manta',?is based on the RD480 chipset, but will?now support 44 lanes to power 2 PCI-e x16 slots. This will allow for easier Crossfire setups. The release date is not known, but?should be expected early 2006.
