3DMark2001 is an oldie but still a goodie when it comes to benchmarking performance of DirectX 7 through 8.1. Using a combination of real gaming engines and synthetic tests, 3DMark2001 is probably one of the most well known gaming benchmarks around. Similar to the previous two graphic-centric tests, the ABIT AA8 DuraMAX plays second fiddle. We see a margin of more than 6% at lower resolutions, but when we reach 1280x1024, the AA8 DuraMAX catches up again and performance is almost on par.
