Software

Abit has done a lot of work on their uGuru (micro guru) software over the years, and they have stuck with it through thick and thin. I won¡¯t go over all the details of the software suite again, but you can reference our look at it on the Abit KV8 Pro review from a little while ago.

Hardware Bundle

Like in the previous Fatal1ty motherboard, Abit has included a couple extras that are unique to their product designs. 

The AudioMAX riser card pictured above fits into the slot directly below the network connection on the motherboard. It is really just a PCI Express connector with different electrical characteristics.  The OTES RAMFlow is a spring-held fan that floats above your memory modules and cools them. 

Here they are installed on the motherboard.  Notice that (*gasp*) this time, the cable from the OTES RAMFlow is long enough to reach the fan connector on the opposite side of the board, and should you choose to use it, there is another fan connector directly behind the DIMM slots on the board.  The previous iteration of this device on the Fatal1ty AA8XE didn't give the user enough fan connectors on the board nor did it provide a power cable sufficiently long enough -- glad to see Abit fixed the problem this time around!

The rest of the bundle suite includes 4 SATA data cables, a SATA power converter good enough for two SATA drives, a rounded IDE and floppy cable and all the necessary manuals and driver disks.
