Overclocking Results
I decided to not even bother using the E8400 for overclock testing and immediately swapped it for my E8600. Dropping to the 6x multiplier and setting the memory divider to 1:1 yielded an impressive FSB achievement for X48. 557MHz FSB was accomplished with most settings on Auto. Unfortunately, I was not able to push much further.
Bumping the CPU multiplier up to 10x and pushing the clocks I was able to get 4622MHz stable with ease. The only concern was the 82C core temperatures I was hitting through SuperPi 32M runs. With additional cooling this board could easily push this chip to stratospheric levels. Unfortunately I am out of liquid nitrogen but I may update this at a later date.
